MLTS - Trail Days are back for Summer 2021!
Dear Trail Days Friends and Fans, We’re happy to announce that Trail Days are back for Summer 2021!
With a new structure offering more opportunities than ever, the Mammoth Lakes Trail System invites you to take advantage of volunteer stewardship opportunities all summer long. We are planning safe and fun ways to get involved as we know you are eager to get back to work with us. You are invited to join the Mammoth Lakes Trail System trail crew and hosts to help with new trail construction, maintenance and stewardship activities by signing up online for volunteer shifts. Volunteer opportunities kick-off on National Trails Day, Saturday June 5th and will be available Wednesdays and Weekends through September. This summer’s work program promises to be especially rewarding as we’ll be building a number of brand new trails in the Lakes Basin!
As always, all ages and ability levels are welcome. Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian, and all volunteers must sign a liability waiver prior to beginning work. We will provide all necessary tools and specialized safety gear, but ask participants to arrive with personal protective equipment (masks, gloves, eye protection, sunglasses are fine), and proper clothing for your assignment. And please don't forget your sunscreen, hat, bug spray, or water bottle. All volunteers must follow current CDC and MLTS COVID protocols.
Trail Days are made possible by the Town of Mammoth Lakes, Inyo National Forest, Mammoth Lakes Recreation, and Mammoth’s own Measure R! Special thanks to KMMT Radio for airtime to get the word out!
Thank you for your continued interest in the Mammoth Lakes Trail System. You can always reach me via email at [email protected] and also follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
We hope you’ll join us this summer to Build – Host – Care – and Re-Connect.
See you on the trails!
