Mammoth Trails Meeting – Public Meeting at Shady Rest Park - June 17th - 5 PM
Greetings Trail Enthusiasts - We hope you can join us for an upcoming Mammoth Trails meeting Thursday, June 17, at 5:00pm. This is our second meeting to discuss the Shady Rest Inyo Craters Trails Planning Project. This meeting will be IN PERSON at Shady Rest Park in Mammoth Lakes.
6/17 MEETING DETATILS:
The Town of Mammoth Lakes was awarded a three-year planning grant from the California State Parks Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Division Grant Program in 2020. The TOML, in partnership with Inyo National Forest – Mammoth Ranger District and Mono County, is using the California OHV planning grant funds for on-the-ground planning and environmental review (NEPA/CEQA) in order to optimize existing OHV trail facilities that serve a wide spectrum of user groups and to consider enhanced opportunities for trails and sustainable recreation in the Shady Rest Inyo Craters sub-region.
The meeting will be an open house with the opportunity to join the planning team in the field:
- 5:00pm Description of the Planning Project from Trails Manager Joel Rathje
- 5:30pm – 7:30pm Open house, share ideas, ask questions
We look forward to seeing everyone on June 17th. Please explore the project webpage for information, resources and a survey! Thank you for your continuing interest in the Mammoth Lakes Trail System. You can always reach me via email at [email protected] and also follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
Best –
Joel Rathje
